Trained at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, a business leader and retired CEO, I am certified in Appreciative Inquiry from Case Western University. I am a contributor to An Open Place: The Practice of Group Spiritual Direction and a graduate of Ball State University with a MA in Education. In 2009, I took my Rites of Passage at Sandstone and completed a study of the Christian Mystical Tradition at the Center for Action and Contemplation's Living School in 2015.

A skilled facilitator in Sociocracy, an organizational governance model that fosters radical self-responsibility and deep employee engagement through equivalence, transparency and effectiveness, I am especially interested in the intersections of spirituality, leadership, and organizational governance in the context of changing climate. My mission is to help individuals face uncertainty with their hearts intact and grow closer to the heart of God.

An active participant in the Open Table Mennonite Fellowship, avid ecologist, gardener, bicyclist, and violinist; I am widowed, a father and stepfather of grown children and grandfather to ten.
