I trained at the Shalem Institute, receiving my certification in 1989, along with Small Group training and Clergy Guidance. I’ve offered spiritual direction for about 20 years at “A Quiet Place” retreat house. I feel a good spiritual director is a good listener and believe that the answer lies within the directee, who is encouraged by the right questions and a listening ear. As needed, I offer input and resources that might be helpful.

I am married with grown children and grandchildren. I am ordained in the Church of the Brethren, attending a non-denominational church. My director is a priest. I appreciate many things about the Catholic Church, Ignatian Spirituality, and have experienced the 19 Annotation. I received an AA in Biblical Studies and BA in Human Resources from Bethel University in Mishawaka, IN. I like to read, knit and crochet, do puzzles, play games, and go to my grands’ sporting events.
